Who We Are

At Kansas City Montessori, we honor each child’s natural curiosity and unique path to learning. Formerly known as Winterset and Westport Montessori, our school is rooted in the Montessori philosophy—fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our carefully prepared environments encourage exploration, discovery, and meaningful work, supporting the whole child in their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Our Montessori Environments

Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to nurture children from infancy through early childhood, providing hands-on learning experiences that cultivate independence, problem-solving skills, and a deep sense of responsibility. Guided by Montessori principles, we offer multi-age communities where children learn at their own pace, engage in purposeful work, and develop a lifelong respect for themselves, others, and the world around them.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering a consistent and nurturing space where children can flourish
